I had interviewed others and decided I would hire an old buddy of mine (who is NOT a contractor) from the valley. However, I had forgotten that someone had Recommended Eric Funnell from RENEW RESTORATION. And to make a long story short, he had me at “Hello”. This guy knows how to talk to people that are stressed over damage in their home. He says all the right things because it comes directly from his gut. It’s who he is. He’s upfront and honest. Yes honest! We placed a call to State Farm and he educated a State Farm agent that had been with the company 12 years about my policy and coverage. When I heard him on the phone with State Farm, I knew this was my guy!His restoration company took over. (And by the way, they are incredible, John, Arnie, the whole team is!) they are knowledgeable, informative, and always answered my phone calls on the first ring. After hiring Eric and his team, I was finally able to go back to sleeping without concerns about what will happen to my house moving forward. I just had a really good feeling that everything was going to work out great- And it did!! My claim with State Farm went from $12,000 before Eric, to State Farm paying out over $140,000 once Eric came into the picture. This guy held my hand, the whole way through, he would even speak to the insurance company when I needed him to. First they did the restoration part and then they did the repairs. That’s when Josue came in. This guy works for Eric on the contractor/repair side and he is made of gold! There’s not a thing this guy doesn’t know how to do. I thank God that Eric and I crossed paths! The tenant at the same (OLD) rental house discovered a new water leak issue (old pipes) with potential mold in a different area of the house. I called Eric right away to see what steps I should take. He took my call personally, recommended the first step to call a plumber and stop the slow leak. He also scheduled a visit to check out the site of the concern. This time it wasn't as serious a resolve as a year ago, thank goodness, but Eric took the same care and precautions to investigate, remove the damaged area and mitigate the issue. We care about our tenants and feel confident with Eric's expertise that they are safe in their home.We had a "small" black mold issue at a little rental house which turned into a complicated issue as more areas of mold were discovered. Eric was hands on from the beginning to the end. Each time we got new test results back he was there to demolish and remediate. We sure learned a lot from him! With confidence, we were finally able to move forward knowing the tenants will be safe. If we didn't have a contractor in the family we would have had Eric do the rebuild as well.
